Lorac's Mobile Pet Spa
Carol Harvey started grooming the family poodles at age 11. By
age 13 she was being asked to groom dogs for friends and other family
members. Once she decided that she really enjoyed grooming, she
started offering her services to rescue groups. At age 19, she found
herself working full time in a salon. By age 26 she was managing
a large grooming salon. Carol moved to Texas in 1996 and got a job
at the Lewisville Petsmart where she became manager and worked until
august 2000. After that, Carol worked at Timber Valley Pet Hospital
starting the clinic’s first grooming services. Within 3 years,
she took the grooming depart from a $0 to over $75k gross sales
all while being the sole groomer.
Being an independent salon owner has been a long time dream of
Carol’s and through the years some great opportunities to
buy shops came along, but it wasn’t the right time. In Sept
2003, the right time came and Lorac’s Mobile Pet Spa became
a reality. After years of researching mobile conversion companies
and comparing shops vs. mobile the decision was made to purchase
a fully equipped mobile van from Wag ‘N Tails. Now Carol can
provide the ultimate in care without having someone pressing her
to rush each pet or to use low quality products on the dogs. Each
pet is done from start to finish without the stress of listening
to other dogs barking or the stress of being cages away from your
home.
Carol was invited to participate as a speaker/demonstrator at the
2007 Dallas Pet Pro Classic. This is a 4 day intensive continuing
education seminar for professional groomers, hosted by ISCC. (International
Society of Canine Cosmepologists) ISCC is the leading the industry
in education and setting the standard of care. Carol is a lifetime
member of ISCC and is working toward completing their certification
program as a canine Derma-Tech specialist. Carol is also ISCC/Red
Cross certified in canine CPR and First Aid.

hobbies.
In her spare time, Carol enjoys her Australian Shepherds. While
she does breed them, litters are rather infrequent. Mostly they
are loving companions that also enjoy entering the show ring as
well. Carol has bred 2 ASCA champions, 5 UKC champions and 2 UKC
grand champions with one making the top 10 both 2004 & 2005.
She has also raised from puppyhood 1 additional ASCA champion and
1 additional UKC champion.
She lives with her husband David and up to 7 aussies not counting
the occasional litter of puppies.. All of the dogs are cherished
family members and live indoors as part of the family..
Your furry family member will be as spoiled as her own children
when in her care.
