Welcome to Lorac's Mobile Pet Spa

I feel my pets are part of my family and will treat yours with the same love and attention.

My van contains everything needed to perform complete grooming of your pet. Brings the style and flair of a fine upscale salon to the privacy and convenience of your home or office. Where your pet will receive the professional, personalized and uninterrupted attention.

Warm and snug in the winter, cool and comfortable in the summer, this totally self contained state of the art salon on wheels assures there will be no power cords running from your outlet and increasing your electric bills. Also no unsightly dirty water will be expelled from the vehicle.

Your pet's safety and comfort is our primary concern. Please advise me of any allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing medical conditions so we can avoid aggravation of these situations. Please let me know of any prior grooming history you or your pet may not have found totally satisfactory. Unlike many other groomers, you ARE welcome to stay and watch your pet while in my care, provided you are not a distraction for your pet.

I have a full size tub/ hot & cold water, top quality shampoos, dryers, an electric table so I will not have to lift pets onto the table, a ramp to go from table to tub for large pets, and a clipper vac that benefits both me and your pet by removing much of the fine hairs that we would be breathing otherwise, I do not use ANY chemicals. If your pet has fleas, I will use a citrus based shampoo/dip and offer you suggestions as to how to rid the pests from your home. If your pet has ticks, I will reschedule your pet to be done 4-6 days (if I have availability at that time) after having your pet wear a Preven-Tic collar or administering a topical tick control obtained from you veterinarian. I can offer specialized shampoos to help with minor skin conditions.

A bit about myself. My name is Carol Harvey and I have been grooming a total of 32 years, but professionally only 23 years. I have been competing in the breed ring with my Australian Shepherds for 14 years now and have multiple Best in Show wins and several Championships and Grand Championships on my dogs. I managed other grooming salons for 11 years before choosing to own my own. I attend as many grooming conferences each year as I am able to attend, to continue to further improve upon my skills in order to achieve perfection. No matter how many years I groom, there is always more to learn. I have taken and passed ISCC's (International Society of Canine Cosmetologists) Pet First Aid and CPR course as I feel knowledge for unexpected emergencies needs to be learned BEFORE an emergency arises. (thankfully, I haven't had to use that knowledge, but feel better having it. I have very high standards of quality and will do my best to do a quality groom to your satisfaction. However, I will not do anything that I feel is harmful to the pet, even if requested by the owner. For example-I will NOT do excessive dematting, if the coat has been neglected to that point it is kindest to the animal to shave it down and start over. Dematting is painful no matter how gentle the process is performed.

Grooming has been my passion for many years and rest assured, when using my services that you are getting the service of a professional within the industry. Never be afraid to ask a groomer what their experience is. This industry, unfortunately allows anyone who chooses to do so toclaim to be a groomer, regardless of any knowledge within the industry at all. Thankfully not often, but I do sadly get in clients pets that have not been treated well by their prior groomers. These pets are much more of a challenge to groom as they found grooming to be very unpleasant, but so rewarding when the day comes that they enjoy being groomed again. Grooming will carry some stress in itself, my goal is to reduce as many stress factors as possible and make it an enjoyable time for your pet.

I do schedule appointments for each day within the same general area so call ahead to find when I will be in your area again. Areas that I work are:Aubrey, Denton, Corinth, Hickory Creek, Justin,Oak Point,Ponder, Krum, Argyle, Lake Dallas, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Double Oak, and Copper Canyon.

Generally, from Providence in Aubrey west to Krum and south to Lewisville and Flower Mound and all cities in between.

** Unlike storefront grooming shops where a single person can groom 10-12 pets per day using an assembly line process(even more if they have a bather washing the dogs for them), I groom each pet individually and my normal appointment load per day is only 6. Appointments fill fast so please call ahead as I often am unable to add an appointment within only a few days.

I am usually booked about 3 weeks in advance although occasionally I do have a cancelation and can get your pet in sooner.

Lets not forget about the kitty in the house!
